Greek language course

(GRFL) -  Αργυρώ Δημητρέλου

Descripción del Curso

In general we aim to introduce incoming Erasmus students to the very rudimentary knowledge of todays' spoken Greek language, as a foreign language, so as to facilitate their adapting to the hosting country. Detecting all the aspects of the teaching and learning process of the linguistically and culturally diverse students we have been calling for reflexive curricula (Cope & Kalantzis, 2009) that intend to promote multimodal linguistics designs for motivating and achieving different sorts of learning (language proficiency, cross cultural exchange, social adaptation).

Especially, grammar and vocabulary sections are all based on thematic topics that reflect Erasmus students' social context at the level of an absolute beginner. Furthermore, the dialogue features section will provide them with the basic skills of reading and understanding spoken and written spheech related to real life communication. This section encourages students to bridge the gap between learning grammar and dealing with structure and meaning at text level.

As part of the learning process, under the prism of coronavirus pandemic, a multicultural virtual class will be achieving its language goals towards cyber active, bilingual exercises and task-based learning methods within online adult education (applying long distance learning via Skype for business).
