The course is offered in English and develops students’ language skills for academic and professional communication in the field of geology. It introduces essential geological terminology and concepts while developing students’ ability to read and understand discipline-specific texts and interpret geological information and data. The course is based on student-centered and interactive activities that develop language proficiency as well as transferable soft skills. Selected authentic materials enable students to engage with current developments in geology. A range of supplementary materials and activities is provided to support and extend the course content.
