This course provides an overview of the main concepts of modern labour economics, including labour supply, labour demand, the human capital model and wage determination, discrimination, unemployment, unions and immigration. The course focuses both on the theories that have been developed to understand the functioning of the labour market, and on the empirical analysis and evaluation of labour market relevant public policies.
