The course is conceived as an advanced seminar in the theory and critical practice of architectural conservation. It approaches the protection of architectural heritage not as a neutral technical process, but as an evidence-based architectural act: every intervention presupposes the identification of values, the interpretation of historical stratification, the assessment of material fabric, and the balancing of social, functional, environmental, and institutional parameters.
