Vitruvius had the privilege to be the author of the sole treatise on architecture that survived from antiquity to the present. The issues he deals with are as timely as they have ever been. Some of them, though, haven’t been given the appropriate attention. The seminar will focus on these issues.

Το μάθημα προσφέρει μια εις βάθος ανάλυση του έργου του Βιτρούβιου Περί Αρχιτεκτονικής.
Ο Βιτρούβιος είχε την τύχη να είναι ο συγγραφέας του μοναδικού συγγράμματος περί αρχιτεκτονικής του αρχαίου κόσμου που επέζησε μέχρι τη σύγχρονη εποχή.
Ο προβληματισμός που αναπτύσσει και τα ερωτήματα που θέτει είναι πάντοτε επίκαιρα.
Υπάρχουν όμως αρκετά ζητήματα στα οποία δεν δίνεται συνήθως η προσοχή που τους αξίζει. Σε αυτά θα επικεντρωθεί το μάθημα/σεμινάριο του εξαμήνου αυτού.
Πρόκειται για ζητήματα που συνδέονται άμεσα με τους προβληματισμούς της σύγχρονης αρχιτεκτονικής ?από ζητήματα οικολογίας και οικονομίας έως ζητήματα σχεδιασμού και ελέγχου του προϊόντος της δουλειάς τους από τους αρχιτέκτονες.
